JD 350C Brake Replacement

Please tell me if I can replace the brake bands by removing the fuel tank and going in through the top. The manuel says you must remove the tracks, sprocket, and rear housing but I seem to remember someone saying you could do it through the top. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

All of the 350's brakes and steering clutches have to be replaced by removing the final drive assembly. 350c's and D's have wet brakes/clutches. 350's and 350B's have dty clutches

Jonathan is correct, you must remove the finals. There have been several discussions about this lately, this may be what you are thinking of.
