Hi, Hobby Farmer. I suppose this might sound like a stupid question but, are you releasing the decompressor -- or is it releasing when you move the lever.

White smoke, as I understand it, is diesel fuel that has not been burnt at all. This could be because of lack of compression or because the timing is off.

Hope this helps.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Yes I am releasing the decompressor. Not a bad question i did forget at first. the white smoke is so very little and it does run on gas fumes through the intake.

Hey i did get the cat running it turned out to be valves not closing completly. a little tap with a rubber hammer and away we go. steering clutchs stuck of course. but a little brake cleaner and a trip around the field broke them loose. Looks like now i need to replace the clutch, etc. any suggestions would be nice. Thanks again hobby farmer
