Help! I have recently bought a cat. d4d dozer. It has 2400 hours on it. I have used it some and its been starting great until..... One day I started it the engine ran for about 20 seconds and acted like the throttle was stuck and then stopped. I have changed the fuel filter drained the fuel, primed it but it still won't start. Should the fuel pressure gauge work while the engine is just turning over?

fuel pressure will register on my d4d after 30 seconds cranking with a full charge if i forget to open throttle to start position. a squirt of wd40 or ether into the intake would diagnose injection system. good luck, don
