Tylor,

Bad news for the seller and thankfully good news to the would be purchaser. Many folks don't find out this info until they have made the purchase and are usually disapointed.

Case started production of the 530 in 1962 and stopped production in 1966. They started the 580 series in 1966 and in 1971 went to the 580B series until 1975 when they introduced the 580C which was in production until the 580D came out in 1980 until 1983 when the 580E went into production through 1987. And the story goes on to the K, L & M series which is the current model today.

Thanks,
Marc

Thank you Marc I wont the bet then. My friend knows everything lol. I told him it was an old hoe. I remember dad telling me about his 480 and 680 he had in the 70's. My friend wouldnt take my word even though ive run equipment 10 years. The seller told him he bought it new in 1980. The seller also is an operator and has been for years guess that might have been his reasoning. I told him what had me on the age was the lack of a rops/fops. Once again thanks for the info Marc.
