What is the best way of removing a track pin using heat? Should I just blow it away or is there a neat way of saving pin. It's a MF 200 Loader.Thanks.

Make sure you are knocking out the master pin they should have a counter sunk hole in the center or the outside of the pin may have moer bevel on it. Dave

You need a suitable drift to knock out the pin, weld a handle to a piece of bar that is a little smaller than the pin so a second person can hold it without getting their hands hit,put the link with the master pin under a double flange roller so it won't jump about when you hit,try first without heat, get the other person to hold the drift square on the pin, give it a few good blows with a 14lb hammer (no sissy stuff)check to see if it moved,if yes continue if no and you have heat, heat the link around the pin on each side, don't apply heat to the pin, with the link red have another go,if all fails you can blow a hole in the centre of each end of the pin about 3/4" dia and in about an 1" but make sure you don't damage the link, you and the other person should wear safety goggles as track parts are very hard and can splinter
Good luck
