I have the chance to buy a 500 C with a new undercarriage it cranks the best of any International ive ever seen but it has a bad left final drive. Its diesel 6 way blade got the reverser and torque converter. Its got a factory rops and brush sweeps. It does need blade bushings but i can do that myself. Its not beat up at all. Also has a 4 shank ripper. I can get the machine and a fairly decent trailer for 3000. Id like to buy a complete used left final drive if anyone has one theyed part with. The hood sheet metal says Dresser but the rest says IHC and the owner told me he thought it was a 75 model. Any advice on this machine. Ive been an operator fr a long time just never had any experiance with this model machine.

Hello Taylor, --- 21 / July / 2003 ---

The "500 SERIES" IH crawlers were made at the IH Plant in Hamilton, Ontirio, Canada, as were the "T-4", "T-5", and the "TD-5" crawlers.

If I can be of further help, E-MAIL me at "farmall28@yahoo.com" Milton
