What is the easy way to fix a rear main seal leek when the tractor gets warm, and why does it leak?

Hi Greg, I have a Td6 that lost the rear main seal and the "easy way" I fixed it was to--- Jack-up front of engine frame to relieve the pressure on the stablizer spring. Remove spring and draw bar. Remove oil pan. Remove clutch pressure plate and disk. Remove flywheel.( The flywheel wouldn't come out all the way but there was room to work around it. It was a real bear to get back on , but a big bar and alot of grunting got it done.) Behind the fly wheel there are 2 flanges, the seal retainers. On the bottom of the block there is a cross piece that must be removed before the 2 halves are. Remove and replace with new seals (2). Instalation is in reverse order. As to why they blow out, I found on mine that the crankcase breather tube was pluged up causing just enough back-pressure to blow it . Hope this helps, any other ??? let me know, Paul
