I'll be needing to rebuild some of the rams on my Case 580B before long. What do you call, and where do you get the tool for removing the threaded ring that olds the cylinder's guts in place? Is this called a pin spanner or what? Mine have 1/4" or larger holes spaced between 2 1/2" and 3 3/4". The fellow I bought the machines from had an adjustable tool that would fit any of these.

Hey there. You are talking about what Case calls a spanner wrench. Case gets over $70 for them. I have an aftermarket available with the same guarantee as an original. Call me if you can help. Bob @ DEPCO 800-899-3372
