300mf track adj

i have been trying to figure out how to adjust the tracks on my mf 300 crawler loader. it is a 1973 . any help would be apperciated. thanks jack

on the yoke that holds the idler there is a cap on top you take the cap off (we used to have to use a cold chisel as the head of the cap is very thin later we welded on a nut to get a wrinch on it) and there is a grese zerk under it. just below that on the side is a locking plug lossen that about 2 turns if you go to much it will let the grese out and loosen the tracks. then pump in some grese to tighten the tracks to the disired tension but not to tight. then tighten the plug back up and replace the cap.

jack if it don't hold then your seal is bad in side and i might still have some left if you need some just post back on this site

i pumped them up tonight and so far they seem to be holding. i plan on clearing some trees this weekend so will see what happens. thanks for the info. i sure like this 300 but i wish parts were easier to find. thanks again jack

Marlowe we had one side on our 300 that kept blowing seals and had to have the yoke machined out and a sleeve instaled to restore it to the right size. no proublem after that.
