I have a 1983 D3B and I need help with a clutch problem. I am not sure if the left clutch is disengaging while turning that way. It has suddenly got very hard to turn the machine to the left. Is there a very simple way to check to see if the clutch is disengaging on that side and I am not riding the brake every time to turn?

Campro, If you have 3 peddals run it in 1 St. gear full throttle and get on the center peddal untill the machine almost stops. If you have a steering clutch slipping it will steer to the side of the weak one. In your case it will turn right. If it goes straight and loads down the engine, take it to where ever you want it to work on it and pull the left steering valve off and replace the bearing in the end of the valve, it has likely collapsed, very common to happen.
