I'm considering buying a used 722. How do I confirm production year from serial number? High drive on hydrostatic trans doesnt work, could it be a simple fix like chain or sprocket or is it a potentially big dollar issue? Has 30 hp Ford (gas). Any history of problems with that engine? I'd describe it as poor condition, but seems to run well. What would be reasonable price? thanks

I'm thinking of buying a used Bobcat 722 for 5k with 4500 hrs. Would this be a good price for this bobcat. There's nothing wrong with is everthing works but I was worried about the hrs. Is this a good deal?

I have a 722, it is a good machine , it had a bad engine (broke con rod) I got a different engine for it,but i got a deal on a wiscon VG4D , (like the 720)and a putting it in. The drive speed is in the hyd pump it could be the linkage or the pump. overall the 722 is easier than my old 610 to work on. email me if you need parts or more info. Ron
