Hi guys I have a chance to buy a 430 dozer. The under charage is in good shape. New sprockets, chain and pads look real good. Had new steering clutches put in it. It has been out side for 4 or 5 years with a can over the exaust pipe and no water in the oil and the oil looked new. Blade and all is in good shape. The hood has some dents in it. I think i could get it running easy, but don't know what to offer for it. What do you guys think. Also i think it has a reverser and 5 speed. Thanks Gary

I made the guy an offer for it and will know this week if it's mine. I have a 350 that has been all redone and will let go if i get the 430. Is the reverser in the 430 a manual clutch system? Thats what it felt like. I guess all the parts for a 430 are still available from some where. Thanks for all your input. Gary

Gary, They are a clutch type reverser, not to be confused with a full hydraulic reverser like in a 350. You must push the clutch in each time you shift the reverser, or you will greatly accelerate wear and damage on the clutch discs. Lavoy

If you end up not getting this machine I would be interested in it. Please contact me at dozerjoe@yahoo.com Someone mentioned the reversers are weak, also keep in mind that more than likely even if the clutches are new you will have to free them up from setting so long.

In central New York State it would go for around $4500. Check the reverser carefully, they're weak.
