Case 350 problems . .

Couple of minor annoyances with my Case 350 dozer: after working it, sometimes it surges during idle. Power up and it's OK. But idling up close to something I don't want to contact- it's a little tricky. Secondly, a track on one side loosens up over a couple of days. A couple of shots of grease in the adjuster and it's OK but won't stay that way. Anybody been there, done that?

We have an 850D and the same problem with the track adjusters one went one week two weeks later the other. We purchased replacements at Depco in Indiana for 560 A side. These are not available through case, our 850 is a 92 model and we had to get aftermarket. The injection pump may be repaired on the tractor if it is only adjustment problem.

It's a diesel, I think 188 CI.

Is this a G350 or a D350 ,gas or desiel? Could be governor adjustment. The track problem can be fixed by installing new packings in your track adjusters, same cure you would use for a hydraulic cylinder that leaked down.Parts are available at any Case dealer and also many aftermarket suppliers. Good luck terrance

Very often as tracks wear and the adjuster is pushed out, the seals inside come in contact with a rusty wall inside the adjuster. The wall is sometimes pitted so badly that even new seals won't last. At this point there are really only 2 options. 1....have the adjuster bored out and a sleeve pressed in to return it to original size, or 2....replace the adjuster. There are aftermarket ones available at reasonable prices. Contact us directly if you're interested in a new aftermarket.
