I just bought this D8 and the generator has been removed and the hole covered with a plate. Was wondering where I could find a used generator for this animal the one that was with it must have been a 40 amp as that is what the regulator is. I need the mounting plate and gear that drives the generator as all is missing. Thanks Phil

Hi Phillip,

I recently purchased a dictionary published in 1946 that has the following inscribed inside: Phillip E. Bejamin, 4040 Alum Rock Ave
I am wondering if you are that Phillip Benjamin and where you live, as I purchased the book in British Columbia.

Phillip if nobody here has any help check the ACMOC board. It would be less than 40 AMP likely 30 or so. Also, what voltage is your system, 6, 12 or 24 volt direct electric start? If you don't know clean off the voltage regulater base and it will be stamped with a# the voltage and a P or N for pos or neg ground. Later Bob
