450 Case Trans Temp.

I've Been Working 1970 450 Case Dozer With A 188 Diesel 11 Hour Day's Lately, I stop It every 2 Hours to Check It Over (And Let My Butt Rest ) At The End Of A 2 Hour Period When Out Side Temp., Is About 80-90 Degrees Trans Gets To 220 Degrees Is This Ok, Or Is It Running Hot, Been Pushing A lot of Clay Up A Dike On A Pond I'm Building For A Guy. Thanks In Advance DOUG

my 450 will run trans temp. of 200 to 220 on long runs and hot days. what is your engine temp. because your trans. oil is cooled by the radiator so if you have dirt in your radiator or loss belt this might bring up your temp. but 220 looks ok

Never Thought About Eng Temp It Goes Up Also Probably Need To Get Radiator Roded Out. Thanks For The Info. DOUG
