We just purchased an antique Crawl-Air dozer by Ingersoll-Rand. Model #KRC-8. Patent Date: 9/24/35. Can anyone tell us more about this crawler, where to get information, any others around, etc. Linda

Hi, Linda. I have just posted a picture of one of these Crawl-Air's on Tractor Photos here on YT. You might like to check the photo to see if it is the same as your new toy. If your's is the same, it is not a crawler tractor as such but a self-propelled air compressor. Hope this helps. You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

That was an interesting photo of my Crawl-Air taken at the auction we bought it at. Have any others been sighted? This is the only one I know to exist. Linda

Hi, Linda. I had heard of IR's Crawl-Air Wagon Drill rigs before your post and this photo but not this little toy. The Wagon Drill was/is a crawler-mounted pnuematic drill that had a separate compressor which it used to tow around behind it. Upon arrival at a new work site the compressor would be parked at one side of the job and uncoupled and the air supply to the drill maintained by a 'bull' hose about 2 1/2" inside diameter. You could try contacting Ingersoll Rand or a post at Historical Construction & Earthmoving Association - see link below. Hope this helps. You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
