I just replaced steering clutches on my 350B dozer this is the second side that I have done, my problem is after I assembled the final back on the machine there is no sring back in the lever and the clutch doesn't ingage to stop the track is this a adjustment problem? or is the clutch plate no good I set the clutch sprng height with a JD7 tool just like on the otherside and I have the proper amount of plates and discs in the housing the only differance is I bought a aftermarket clutch plate for this side Any Ideas on what is going on? Thanks in advance for any help

I'm not quite sure what you're describing. The clutch does not engage to stop the track, the brake band does that. If the clutch won't engage at all (to drive the track), look down inside with a flash light to see if the throwout bearing is clear of the pressure plate fingers.
