I have a '68-70? JD350 Dozer that has the PTO plate in the rear case and was unsure if there was 6-spline shaft behind the 3-bolt PTO cover or if there is an adapter needed with a shaft/seal housing to implement this. My manual does not get into detail. Thanks, Terry

There is nothing behind the plate. You will need the PTO attachment that insets in the hole. Lavoy

Well you need to remove the three bolt cover and look inside, there should be a short shaft fairly deep inside,If you dont have this, dont bother.I had my local deer dealer check into the same thing when my 350 was in for service. You would have to split the tractor to instal the internal shaft,[lots of money] good luck GLENN

The attachment would have the 3-bolt pattern as the cover does? I take it this would be a JD item only... not after-market?? The reason being, I have a self contained 13' backhoe attachment on my wheeled tractor that I would like to interchange between them when desired. Terry

Yes, it just bolts up to the 3 holes in the back cover. It has a small housing that has a bearing or two in it as well. Lavoy
