OK I have seen a lot of crawlers in my time but heres one for you Cletrac Pros and I did read recently the story in Articles on this site but it does not fit any of those. I am looking at a Machine with rear dual rubber tires, has final drives just like a crawler and the wheels match up to it just like it came from the factory, says Cletrac on the radiator in the front and down the sides, has a peak hood, says Cletrac on the manifold 6 cylinder, has steering wheel and wide front end. Has a tag on it on the side frame that says Cletrac GG, anyone ever see anything like it or is this just a crawler someone converted, if they did it was a very nice clean job, it looks very unique. The owner has had it a long time and said it was that way when he got it. I am going back to take some pics in a couple weeks.

I think I remember reading about the model GG. It was indeed a wheeled tractor by cleveland tractor company, and was used to pull construction equipment. May have been called the general, but I may have that mixed up with something else. I have a book that lists it as the model GG general purpose, made 1939-1942. This wheel type tractor was dropped from production due to wartime restrictions, as well as the popular model E ag crawler. rick

Sounds like it could be a MG-1 which was built for the military, similar to a BG.
