I’ve been looking around to buy a backhoe/loader to use around the farm. I don’t want to spend no more than I have to. In looking I’ve seen it looks like the Internationals go for a lots less than others. Is there a reason for this? Are they not good machines or are parts hard to find or some other reason? Any recommendations? I know Case makes a good machine. I’ve always been a Ford man. Are their backhoes any good? Others? Thanks, Carl

I've owned 2 Internationals. One a TLB the other a Drott 4 in 1 Bucket loader crawler. After those I stay away from Internationals. Way too many adjustment & maintenance points compared to other machines. Just my 2 cents worth of thought....

Carl , IH backhoes etc have been orphans since the breakup of IH .They were a bit inefficient with the closed center hyd sys , it made the engine labor just to let the boom down. If you have the choice get a case , they perform well and parts are available . george
