case 450 crawler track

please help one track seems very slack.. I have pumped it up thru the grease fitting and it seems to work for a couple of days then goes slack again.. If i leave it in this condition what will happen?? and how can i repair it? thanks

Ernie, Call me @ (314) 966-6692, I own a Case boneyard & worked for Case for 25 years. The problem might be simpler & less expensive than replacing the adjuster. Steve

the best fix is to replace the ajuster. you can replace the piston seal but 9times out of 10 it will still back off due to rust and wear. and you will not want to go through all the work two times the hole thing is about 300.00 or a little less [they make them after market] case is more
