I have a 1998 Bobcat 763 with the standard electronics and my transmission and motor oil pressure warning lights do not work. Per the expensive manual, the lights should come on when the key is turned on and go out when engine cranks and switches make. Well, guess what, they never come on. Both have same power source and neither have power going to them. I can see via the schematic that power should come from fuse #2 which is labelled "Boss". Mine does not have Boss, but anyway there is no power to this block with the key on or off. Power appears to come here from fuse #6 which is labelled "accessory". No power to this block either, with key switch on or off. From there, I cannot detect where power should come from, I can not understand the schematic. Everything else works as it should. I just want to make sure I am not using it with low oil pressure or high temp in hydraulic system. Just bought it about 50 hours ago. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance for the help. David

I worked on a 763 the other day for a different electrical problem. Turns out there are about 8 different hot wires going to the stud on the started solenoid, often with two or three crimped onto the same connector eye- same situation with the ground wires on a bolt on the engine. Turns out several of the wires at the starter solenoid were getting intermittent contact because the connectors were burnt due to them being too small to handle the current for the 3 wires crimped to them.

David, check for power again and use the machine frame or battery post as your ground for the meter or test light, If you lose a bunch of things at once it could be a ground lead to them that broke off. Later Bob
