Got a tractor with loader. You guys may be of help to me. The joints where the pins are all have steel spring bushings, intended to be replaceable. These are not OEM but have been retrofitted by previous owner. The bushings are 1" I.D., 1-3/8" O.D. and 1-1/2" Lg. They are split and spring tight when installed. Can anyone give me a lead as to source? Thanks

Hey Sam, try Connex. We heard about them several years through Norfolk Southern Railroad who uses alot of them in their track maintenance equipment. We've used them numerous times since then in everything from bucket holes to the pin holes for the toggle bolts on a big jaw crusher. They work great and they last along time. Connex should have just anything you want, made to order, up to I believe it was a 5 1/2 " OD, at very reasonable prices. One trick, when putting them in, put a hose clamp around the bushing and draw it tight. This will close the bushing up some and make it alot easier to start and drive in the hole. By the time you get it in far enough to have to take the clamp off it should drive on in with no problems.

Thanks Wayne. I did find the Connex type bushings in my McMaster-Carr book however did not list the O.D. I needed. I'll check with my local Motion Industries store on Monday. Thanks again.

Hey Sam, just so you know, you can call Connex direct and buy straight from them, all it takes is a credit card. They don't keep anything but a few of the more popular sizes in stock so it may take a few days to get what your looking for, but they should have it.
