I have a early 931 3forward 1 reverse pedal steer loader. The transmission has always had to warm up before the machine would move, and been week in reverse. It sat for about 2 years and when I got it running it would barely move forward or back, when you tried to turn it would stop completly. I moved it back and forth for a while and didnt seem to free up. pushed up a small pile of dirt pushing pedals to try to get it to turn. Drove over the 1 foot tall pile and the machine will not back over it? Filter was changed before it was parked and fluid was changed about 50 hours before that. Drive shaft does not turn when machine stops. Linkage seems to work right. Any suggestions or name of someone in nc or va or anywhere that can rebuild or source a used one? thanks in advance.

Johnny, you may only need the control valve cleaned out and resealed if you are luckey. It sounds to me like you have not got full pressure to your clutches. The steering uses trans pump pressure and if it's not right up you can't release the clutches, thus no steering just stopping. I would take the big trans screen out and clean it, look for black granuals, clutch marerial. Email me if you like I am getting some info on this trans for someone else and can send it to you aswell. Later Bob
