Ok, I have a 125C track loader with hydro trans, overall it is a strong machine with most everything rebuilt and well taken care of. The problem is now that when the machine is first started it drives very slowly and won't even go in third. After a period of "working" time (not idling), the performance increase and the speeds pick up. The transmission does not run hot. I the fluid is full in the tranny and the rear frame and I changed the tranny filter 4-5 months ago 50-75 operating hours ago. The problem is getting worse. Am I missing something here or do I need to pull the tranny. Thanks for any help you can give.

Paul, I wonder if you resolved the problem with the 125c loader with the rebuild of trans. pump? I am having similar cold weather symptoms show up, but it operates well in the heat. thanks Richard

Remove the floor board before you start the machine - when it first starts the drive shaft shuold be spinning fast - if not check the suction line and the charge pump. Have you cleaned the suction strainer - if there is any major problem you will find the metal in there. Could also be the oring on the seperator plate in the clutch pack - if they get old will get hard and brittle and not seal up till they get some heat in them then will work till you shut machine off and let it cool down.

Check your suction line from the sump to the charge pump, it sounds like it is sucking air instead of fluid and remember air can get in where fluid will not leak out of.
