From what you describe it sounds like a Continental flathead. Look for a circular logo cast in the right side of the block about 2 1/2 in dia. (from the drivers seat).Where is the governor? How about block and head numbers.E-mail if you like. Good Luck.

It has E-15-T on the side of the engineon the head it has 2 over a W over 7-19-43, the govanor is on the right front of the engine. The distibutor is between # 2 and 3 cylinder. You can go to cletrac.org to find pictures but not sure where at yet I'll post where in a little bit

Many jeep engines were used in spray rigs, welders.pumps, genarators, and air compressers and those would have govoners. You could also use a pierice govoner it is belt driven, These little crawlers were fitted with many different engines by owners i bought one today powered with a 6 cly ford but have had them with 6 cyl chevy ford pinto nisson toyota chevy II and even v-8 chevy I also have many for parts just e mail and i will send link to my site

Frank of Oden, please e-mail me because I have an OC-3 too. You will have to change the "AT" to the proper symbol as the "DOT" to a period in my address under the reply.
