When I get ready to tear one down I get out the old pump up garden sprayer and fill it with diesel. Spray down whatever you are working on a couple times a day for a week and turn the pressure washer on it.That hard baked on crud has to soak and loosen. Another thing I use is the hot water heater and a good spray nozzle,We have a well pump and when I am cleaning something I boost up the well pressure to about 85 lbs.

Alvin I always use bleach white and gunk together. Gunk and gas helped smoke up a TD15 used to run. The best thing I ve seen to degrease a machine is bleach white and a hot water washer. Id like to buy or build one for out side the shop. The company that I worked for also had an underground circulaton tank to wash out the mud in belly pans and under carriages. It saved the water and got the bulk mud and grease off. Then we used the gunk and bleach white to get the rest off.

Bleach white is a tire cleaner solvent. Its called Wesleys Bleach White and has some sort of mild acid that takes off the grim but it has to be rinsed quickly. And it bothers you hands. I I use it on my backhoe as Im an over greaser. It s good on built up hydraulic oil. Its good to clean the rubber mats in my dump truck and on a loader at work. I dont like to use it on a daily driver car or a show tractor but other things in the shop its good for. I often dilute it in water and use it with my pressure washer to.

The best thing I found to remove years of grease build up is oven cleaner. You spray on oven cleaner and let it soak for about a hour and you can wash it clean with just a water hose. I use a pressure washer and that will remove every bit. Be sure where you wash your tractor useing oven cleaner is in a place where you don't want grass to grow. Oh by the way, useing oven cleaner will also remove a lot of the old paint. The thing about oven cleaner, the longer you let it soak the better job it does.
