Butch, Looks like your replies missed the question, on the front of the control valve where the brake lines connect remove the bolt that is thru the banjo fitting. behind that, there is a hex nut , remove it and inside it there is a piston with a quad ring that is worn. also while you have it out , there is a wiper seal in that little housing, replace it too. it keeps the water and dirt out of the cylinder. george

this is just a little master cyl.[auto type] you can rebuild them but most of the time rust has taken it's toll and you are better off just changing them out. they are a paine to change [no room] and you will only want to do it one time only. if you can find a no. on it napa can get them

I have a Case 450B and just finished replacing both master cylinders within the last month. One had failed but we decided to replace both. Case wanted twenty something for a single rebuild kit and over $100 for one new master cylinder. We were able to get new replacement cylinders from NAPA for $45 each. It wasn't a bad job once we figured that the mounting bracket for the cylinders could be removed from the firewall by taking out 2 half inch bolts. Good luck. John in NY
