I've a 1986 BD2G crawler dozer. Will anyone help me understand how to grease the the hydraulic ram connecting pins? I see the manual says three pumps of grease, but there are no apparent fittings.

Make sure that your book is matched to the serial number of the machine. My 88 model is excellent, grease fittings are accessed from side-on position. If you've got dirt build up,clean it off & occassionaly wash the fittings clean.Good little dozers.

Does anyone know the best way to get the plugs out of the final drive housing to check the oil? My book says to remove the top plug. The grease fittings on part of my 1987 BD2G a broke off, but the ones on the blade actuators are recessed andas Jim said they go straight on. john

Loosen top plug with ratchet or socket bar....3/4 drive I think.Let book be your guide. Broken grease nipples can be removed with small metric socket. Rhine Equip in Tacoma are support agents.
