Greetings. I am a rookie dozer operator. I bought this cat D3b LGP about a month ago for use on my 70 acres mostly to dig ponds. I pumped a 1/2 acre pond dry and went in to deepen it. I think this machine would float on a thick milkshake. I was running on mushy worked up clay that I couldn't walk on. But how can I tell what to stay away from? Thank You Jerry

That is a hard one to answer---but the good news is that if you ever get that thing bellied up in the muck---take a good around---you won't be forgetting it quickly ;) BTW--the other good news--with that little guy you wont need a real big one to drag it back out ;)

cut a couple 6-8" logs long as the blade and keep these handy along with chains to attach to tracks at first sign of trouble. as long as you don't dig yourself in before chaining up you'll learn quick where ya can n can't go. good luck; don
