I am going to look at a crawler with a friend in a couple days and would like to get a ball park idea of its value. I know its hard with out seeing it but lets assume a few things on its condition. It's an IH 500 bucket loader. It's been stored inside for most if not all the time and definitly for the last 15 years. Assuming the under carriage is 60 to 70 percent, paint is good everything works and it starts and operates fine. If that is the case, is this a $1000 to $2000 machine or $3000 to $4000 machine?

It seems to make a difference what part of the country or what country you live in. Supply and Demand for used dozers makes an impact on the price.

I gave 4 grand for a 1960 td9 92 series with a six cyl turbo and a loader. It needed rollers and a seat and the glow plugs dont work yet. Other wise it runs and does what it should. It is still mostly yellow and does not look too bad. May bee this info will help you compare. They are both made by int. and the 500 is newer and I believe the 500 is a smaller machine. consider parts availability in figurring what the machine is worth to you.
