I borrowed a bulldozer, right lift cylinder is now leaking fluid, but I can't get the rear large pin that holds it in place loose to take the whole thing in to be fixed.I got the vertical bolt out of the middle of the pin, oiled it all over, beat on it and it won't budge--does it push in to remove or pull out (seems impossible to do that)...any suggestions? thanks, KS

Thank you both---the heat method didn't work, I heated the pin red hot, let it cool, and beat it with a sledge to no avail, I guess 20 years of sitting there in place made the difference. I used a pipe/chain wrench tool and attached a fence stretcher to pull it and turn the end of the lift tube to unscrew it-what an incredibly hard job, but finially I got it off. Hopefully it'll go on easier! Thanks! KS

If the cylinder barrel is not damaged there is no need to remove it,take the rod out of it and have it resealed, the rod carries all the seals. AJ

The pin is seized in the bore of the frame. You need a tourch, you could heat the pin red hot, let it cool and it should shrink then come loose. If you heat the bores it will come free but the bores will be thighter when they cool. Later Bob
