JD 350-C turning brake Question

After adjusting the turning brake on my 350C dozer, I can work about 5 to 10 minutes and the self-adjusting mechanism will tighten it up so that the brake begins to grab the drum before the clutch disengages. What can I do to keep the adjustment so that it does not tighten up too far by itself? Any help will be appreciated.

I was working for a JD dealer when the C series came out, and we had a miserable time with the self-adjustors on the brakes tightening up all the time. We unhooked them on all our rental machines. It's been a while since I worked on them, though. Seems Deere must have fixed the problem by now.

I know a 450-c has a bolt that limits the travel on the self adjuster..The 350 must also have the same arrangement to limit adjuster, but i don't remember for sure..If you find it turn it in a half turn at a time and try it

Thanks for the information. I will disconnect the self adjusters.
