Looking at new tires for my wheel loader. While searching the webb for information on tires sizes at manuf. webb sites. Tire size is 15.5 x 25 (L-2) The worn out tires I have on the loader mounted have a diameter of 49 7/8 inch. The manufacture lists new tire as having a diameter of 50.1 inches. My present tires are worned down to the center rib in the center of the tire and they measure within 1/8 of an inch of a new tires diameter? I have lost abut two inches of tire tread, how can the tire diameter of the used tire be the same as a new tire, same manuf, same tire? Where do you measure the diameter of an inflated tire? Please reply.

Tires can stretch or "grow" slightly over a long period of time. Could your tire size be 15.5x25.5?
