Well, I just bought my first Dozer. Its a D6 Cable with a Pony Motor. I would like to know the full model and year- can someone tell me where the true serial number is located. I would also like to buy an operators manual and a repair manual.

Is there a Cat Discussion Board somewhere?

Thanks for the help.

Go to www.acmoc.org there is an excellent cat discusstion page. Join the club its worth the 25 bucks, plus you get quarterly glossy newsletters and you can special offers for club members on decals, etc.

NOTE:
the sn is on the eng. block in the rear on the left side, also, in the rear on the upper left side of the bevel gear case, above the draw bar.

Try the Antique Caterpillar Machinery Owners Club for information. Their business office is:

Woodburn, OR 97071

Phone 503-634-2474

They put out a nice quarterly magizine. I think there is a web site somewhere but I do not have it bookmarked. enjoy the toy,ray
