I have a IH 3500A backhoe with the dt 239 engine. The guy I got it from did not put the turbo back on when he rebuilt the engine. It does fair without it,digs ok if you are careful not to bog it down too much.It will not move itself in the hi-range of the tranny. Is it worth the time and effort to put a turbo on it? Is it just a matter of bolting it on and hooking up the oil lines,or is there alot more to it? Does anybody have a rough idea what it would cost to do this? Thanks alot for any info you might have on this tractor. Mike L.

I have a 3500a tlb and it has all the power you need. Will dig a hole with the backhoe big enough to bury itself in 30 minutes. None of my manuals even mention a turbo avaliable. Dosen't need one. Check your fuel line from the tank to the injector pump for a loose conection. A small air leak in the fuel line will kill performance. Will not be leaking fuel but sucking just enough air to kill power. From experance, Art
