I am storing my Dozer (TD-9) for the winter and have a couple questions. I live in Northern CA, the winters are mild but wet. 1. Gas tank - The manual says to drain all the fuel, a friend told me to add biocide and top-it-off (to avoid condensation). I am thinking Top-it-off should be good for my conditions. 2. Rust avoidance - a friend told me to spray diesel fuel all over. What do you guys think? 3. Tarps - Is it a good idea to wrap the Dozer in Tarps? I think it's a good way to go, but the condensation may be a big draw-back. Thanks in advance, -Marc.

I live in nc and put diesel in a bean sprayer and soak chrome cylinders and anything not painted. you can park it on scrap sawmill boards to keep it from freezing to ground. Antifreeze, fill tanks, cover if you want, cover exhaust, pick a day about half through the winter crank it turn it left and right go forward and back shut it down let cool and cover. Most dozers I have bought sat for a year or more and were never looked at. The only problems I encounter with a year of not running on a td-9 is (possible) steering clutch sticking. You really should not have to do much unless you just want to.
