How do you adjust the main drive clutch on an Allis HD-9?Thanks R.G.

Take off the transmission cover plate. On the left side of the machine as you face it.

Between the clutch brake and the clutch pack is the throw out bearing. You should notice on the clutch pack a large nut with notches. Some where there there is a notch that has a spring loaded lever. Once you get that spring loaded lever pulled back you rotate the adjusting ring toward you.

The pull on the clutch lever should be between 45-50 per the manual. If there is a lot of gunk and oil in there. Clean out with DF and mineral spirits as mentioned in the resource section at ibdozing.com. I left a response several days ago there too.
