I need to put teeth on my 955L bucket, and the CATERPILLAR price took my breath away (gasp, puff, pant). I need the adapters, pins, everything. What I need most now is a list of CAT salvage yards (websites, email, phone no's). If you know of ANY salvage yard that does CATs, please let me know! Thanks in advance for your help! Hi, Stan. In answer to your previous posts, I noticed that everybody seemed to be suggesting bolt-on tooth adaptors. May I suggest that you also consider weld-on adaptors? Weld-ons are not likely to come loose like bolt-ons. Some people say that welding the adaptors on causes cracking of the cutting edge and it can --- if you have an inferior quality edge and/or the welding is not correctly done. Pre-heating is essential - heat until spit sizzles where you are welding the particular tooth adaptor on and do it individually for each adaptor as and when you are ready to weld it. It is also possible to weld on bolt-on style adaptors by the same process. With regard to suppliers, I'd suggest looking at any of the aftermarket suppliers of ground engaging tools and asking amongst any local quarries, contractors or local authorities about their suppliers and the wear they get of their particular purchases. Hope this helps. You have a wonderful Christmas. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Hey Stan, ED is right, your better off to go with aftermarket wear parts. They are just as good as CAT stuff and alot cheaper. In case you ever need any other parts for your machine I'll include a link for a place called Iron Peddlers. They have a salvage yard as well as selling aftermarket parts for CAT. I've bought a good bit from them over the years and they are a really nice bunch to deal with and will help you out as much as they can.

Regal Corp is the supplier for a lot of the places that sell after market CAT parts. They have an 800 # ,but I dont have it at present. A place in Ruma Illinois named Chartrands has a sea of used Cat parts, and are good people to help you .
