Just thought I'd try again to see if anyone out in internet space could help me on the oil pressure problem on the case model 1000. I finally got a magnafying glass and was able to make out the serial numbers which are #7101586.Its a 4 cylinder diesel. I just today pulled the pan and checked for main and rod brging wear...there is none the brgings look like new. I pulled the cover on oil pump to check for scoring there is none looks fine . Replaced oil pan added new 15w 40 oil { filter was just replaced last week} hooked a gauge into the right side oil gallery and left the original gauge hooked up on left side by injection pump. Started engine and it pressurized to 40 #. Ran engine to tempreture and as it was getting warmer the pressure was dropping off till finally it fell to just 5# but no engine brging noises/knocks. both gauges read the same ...what gives??? Can anyone out there give any good advise on what could be going wrong? It doesn't make sence to me wy after its run for awhile to tempreture and w/ like new brgings and a oil pump that looked clean and no scoring why the pressure would just drop off like that. Does anyone know where I can get a repair manual for this cat? PLEASE RESPOND here.... or my e-mail wmkolo@cybrzn.com...Thanks....Wayne

I had a 1000C loader many years ago. It had a Contnental diesel. If I remember right there are no cam bearings in the block. If the cam is worn you must have the block line bored and bushed. Have you checked the relife valve on the oil pump for a broken or weak spring? FRED

Not sure what engine you have, but if it is similar to the one in my 800, it could be losing pressure in the cam bearings, and also in the rocker arm bushings.

You did not mention if the 5# was at idle, or at a higher rpm.

One more item, Did you check the oil level after shutting down? My engine had bad umbrella seals on the Roosamaster pump, and I would get significant oil dilution in about 1 hour of running.
