Found out about this 420 crawler and went to take a look. It has been sitting for a couple years. All complete, very good tin. Has a winch, canopy, a big 6ft blade off of it. All the gauges are good; says 715.9 hours (not faded) The tracks are not worn much. I had no way of seeing if the motor was free. There is a 40 crawler for parts that has to go with it. What would the price range on this crawler be. Thanks for any info, Eddie Hadaller

I bought one with a stuck engine last year for $2500. I got it unstuck, head checked out and valves reseated and replaced all ignition, carb rebuilt, etc. I've got another $1000 into it, $300 of which was to replace the cracked hydraulic pump. I got a good machine for no more than what running ones are selling for here, and I know what's been done to it. It has a twin cylinder blade, winch, and logging boom.

Put a battery in it, if it starts, run it around the yard, see if the blade has sufficient down-pressure to lift the front of the tractor, and if the winch works, I'd pay $3,500-$4,000. If the hour clock is accurate it sounds like a find.

I wouldn't put much more than $1500 in it.You are starting with a stuck motor, and most likely stuck steering clutches,or possibly bad clutches and brakes. At least at $1500 you could get your money back out of it for parts if its too bad to fix.
