I have td6 around 1946 I think. the price was right as it was free if I would haul it out of north Fort Worth Tx. IT has set for 17 years and was quite a challenge getting it home. I have freed most ever thing up and ready to start on cranking the engine . Most all 4 cyl engines fire 1243 but I know absolately no nothing about diesel engines. IF it is stamped somewhere then it must be covered with greese. Would like to communicate with someone who has done this before. appreciate any information. richard in tx

Most all 4 cylinders and your td6 fires 1342. Makes no difference if gas or diesel. besides your td6 starts on gas anyway. Double check which directions your ignition rotor turns and set firing order accordinally from #1 mark on cap.

Richard, if you've done all this work without a manual and think that the firing order on most 4 cylinder engines is 1234 stand back when you start this thing..... ..Safety 1st..... Good luck

Richard, You could always check by looking at valve gear while turning engine slowly. It will reveal all in a few rotations. Regards, RAB
