I have a '72 Case 350 highlift and when I tried to use it this weekend, I only have 3rd gear, no 1st or 2nd gear. And the gear shifter does not move into the correct positions. I can only move the gear selector up and to the right, which would normally be 1st gear, but then the crawler will not move. If I pull the gear lever back and over, which would normally be neutral, I am in high gear. Gearshift will not move into 2nd or 3rd gear position. I used the crawler about 3 weeks ago and it worked fine. It has been rather cold over the past week, 10 - 25 degrees, but it was about 40 when I tried it. Tranny is a 3 speed shuttle shift. Any thoughts?? Is it just too cold to use right now? Thanks, Jon

Jon first off it sounds like the shifter locked in two grears . The shifter can be takin off without takin tranny out it it maybe worn,it can be repaired . if you feel there are more worn tranny parts then the complete back end must be removed Why else did it happen?? Water in transmission?? does it sit outside uncovered// you may want to drain tranny&dif. and change oil should be done once or twice a year Make sure you only use GL-1 gear oil !!!! NOTHING ELSE...Also if maybe good time to pull rear cover check brakes and do inside adjustment on them. If you need any parts or any more questions just email me and i will send you link to my site Thanks ED
