I tore the final drives off my 350B this winter to work on the brake bands and clutches because I was starting to have steering problems. What a mess inside! Mounds of brake dust, moisture and water, rust, meybe mud. I'm suprised the thing worked as well as it did! I managed to get all the linkage cleaned up, new throw-out bearings, and the brakes relined. However, looking at the clutches, the manual lists the "Thickness Of New Parts" as: Clutch Composition Facings:.175"-.181" Clutch Steel Plates: .090"-.096" My question is what is the down-side wear limit for each? How thin before I replace? The dimensions above from the manual are for "Thickness Of New Parts". I was thinking .085 on the steel plates and .155 on the composition plates, but I'd rather not guess if anyone has this info from a published JD repair manual. Thanks for your help.... Todd S.
