Rich, I can go a full day on my 450C loader and still have plenty left. However, I like to keep it full as much as possible because it keeps the moisture down inside the tank. Watch your RPM's and that will help your fuel consumption. Don't lug it, but no need to over-rev it and produce high RPM's that you don't need. Good luck.

The book says 1.5 to 2.3 gallons/hour as typical. Most construction equipment is designed to go at least 10-12 hours without refueling.

If you are using it at its maximum potential, 3 gallons an hour.Figure on filling it the end of a 10 hour day.

My JD350 recently used about 12 gal in 28 hours of clearing and road levelling work at 2700rpm, if i remember the number of fuel cans right. Its 3 cyl diesel just a little less fuel hungry than 450.
