Gentlemen I am contemplating the purchase of a Caterpillar D-7 17A. It has had recent main engine work, rebuilt pony, undercarriage is good, has blade, rear winch needs clutch work. Owned by neighbor for last three and a half decades. He has moved and bought D-8 with hydraulics, no longer needs D-7. These old girls don't change hands around here (Calgary, Alberta) much, if at all, as all the old equipment seems to migrate north. Please advise if your estimate is Can. or U.S. dollars. When the movie "Killdozer" aired I was little and the D-7 was parked in our driveway, somethings you just don't forget. Thank you for any assistance Truly Zoltan

I had one that i sold a couple of years ago a sweetheart cable machine with a 80% ++ undercarriage and just worked the best It went for $7500. Took awhile to get that thought everyone wanted to pay $6000.-6500. But i liked that machine so much didn't need it anylonger but if i didn't get what i wanted i didn't care/ and soon the right person came along If it had been Hydrualic i think i could have got $10,000 it was that nice
