The oil in the pump should be changed by every engine oil change. At the oil level Iīm not shure, since I donīt have a TD6 myself. /Dennis

I don't know anything specific about the TD6, but I have several tractors with inline injection pumps including an IH with a 144 engine and a CAV inline pump. Some of my other tractors have the SIMMs inlines. Either way, when they were new they came filled with engine oil. Usually, this oil gets diluted after awhile with diesel fuel. Some modern machines run an engine oil line into the pump to prevent it from drying out. If your pump is dry, putting engine oil in it will be fine. Doesn't your pump have an overflow tube?
