I'd like to start by thanking the guys that helped me with my questions I asked a few weeks ago. I've come back with two more. I bought a complete gasket set for the engine I removed the head cleaned the cylinders freed the pistions. I have not recevied my manual yet. Can anyone tell me the torque specification for the head bolts in foot pounds? Also I found a lever on the brake side, near the floor, looks as if there was a longer handle attached. It feels as if it has three detents. Can anyone help? Thank you Josh

I am pretty sure that this is a separate lever, as I believe that I have already found the parking break. Thank you for the suggestion though. For clarity, the parking break is a lever that dogs into a ratchet on the break pedal. Is this what you are thinking?? Thanks again. Josh

Yes, the lever lifts up and locks into the pawl for parking brake actuation. Does the lever rotate on a horizontal lever near shifter? Could it be PTO engagement? Describe the three position lever again, please? Direction of lever actuation, etc. BurOak

I've since then got the crawler running and have discovered that the broken lever is the reverser. WOW I have a reverser!.... Is that good?? Question, is the pto lever suppose to disengage the winch? It's a carco. Thanks Josh

Josh, The head bolt torque is 85-95 foot pounds. The valve setting is .015 on both int and ex. I got this out of a John Deere manual # SM2019. Have fun. Wayne
