I have a Model 9400 JD backhoe, that I would like to get information about, the Company that made the Control Valve assembly I think was called Clango, I'm not sure of the spelling because of the quality of the casting, the Deere part number of the complete assembly is AU 42263 anybody herd of them, Google didn't help. What I would like to know is, were these Control Valves used on an "Open Center" hyd system for another manufacturer? Can the Valve I have be converted to an "Open Center" system? Without thinking {an understatement!!} I mounted this hoe on the back of my IH 806 {open center hyd.} and can't use it till I find another way to power the Hydraulics, or convert the valve. Someday I may make brackets for my newly purchased IH 175C so I will still need to deal with this valve issue. Any and all help will be GREATLY appreciated!!! TIA!! Dave

That hoe can be had in either open or closed center configuration depending on the application. Take whatever numbers you can find on the hoe and valve to a Deere dealer and have them check it. If memory serves, the valve has to be changed for open center operation.
