Does anyone have the testing procedure for the logic module on a John Deere 210c,310c or 410c? The manuals I have says theres a way of checking it. But I don't have that part in my manual. Problem I'm having is the alt. light is staying on when its actually working. Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks

The alternator light can be on even though the alternator is charging because of a bad diode in the alternator. I would check this before suspecting the monitor board.

John, I don't know your machine at all but does it have a small wire that pushes onto a pin on the back of the alternator. If it does there should be a pulse coming out of it and that tells the module the alt is charging. If that wire falls off or breaks you will have that symptom. To test a wire in that kind of a circuit I take a bat pos and connect to it to the wire in pulses, on and off, one half second each and the alt light will go out. Hope this helps. Later Bob

The wiring and every thing else looks good. When we bought the hoe it wasn't working then. But we played around with it trying to figure it out and it started working. But when it was working properly the logic module made a slight buzzing sound.. So don't know what it could be.

Guess I can't help you with that one then John. Get the dealer to check it out, don't just replace it untill you find the cause. If it's dammaged frome something else a new one could be too as soon as you plug it in. Later Bob
